# Morning Brew: Diversity In The Tech Industry
Here at CTE, we are committed to changing the face of talent. Tech is a great example of an industry ripe for change. For too long, tech teams and leadership have been predominantly male and predominantly white.
Our CEO and founder [Kyle Samuels (he/him)](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAAgtHkBerjQzOUw-BJzqKxuxCCCLR2ci1k) talked to [Morning Brew](https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-morning-brew/) about how to get buy-in to pursue diverse hires. It's not enough to say "you should be more diverse," but rather we should be saying "you should be more diverse, and here are the reasons it makes business sense."

## Kyle Samuels
Kyle found his passion for improving organizations through talent after early career roles in tech, entertainment, and executive search. After earning his MBA, he joined GE’s legendary rotational HR Leadership Program before moving to Yum! Brands where he held several leadership roles. Kyle has a BA in Political Science from Ohio University and holds an MBA from Purdue University.
